but i heard doctors and stuff are trying to cure it but i wonder if they would succeed in doing it and i hate signing forms for work experience

  2. maverickmechanic Feb 13, 2011

Working for Ford. Had a relative at a dealership, so I got a technician job. Pays good and has good benefits. Plus I get some great experience. I still want to find a job in the high performance field, but this is a good starting point.

    Bleh, I hate essays.

  3. springheeljack Feb 09, 2011

    Whats your new job?
oh nothing interesting..had a test today now i got to write an essay ..

  4. maverickmechanic Feb 09, 2011

Well, I got a new job a few weeks ago. I liked my old job better, but I get a LOT more hours at this one.

    What's new with you, Jack?

  5. springheeljack Feb 08, 2011

    So...whats new mav?

  6. maverickmechanic Jan 22, 2011

Yeah, He had nightmares almost every night.

  7. springheeljack Jan 20, 2011

Well thats an extremely terrible thing to go through
on a side note the opening locked car doors for people is quite the racket

  8. maverickmechanic Jan 14, 2011

Yep. Got captured in Luxembourg during the Battle of the Bulge. Then was rescued by Patton himself. I can't remember how many months he spent in the camp, though.

  9. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

Really? He was in a concentration camp?

  10. maverickmechanic Jan 13, 2011

Sorry to hear about your loss, Soul. Hope you and everyone else in your family are doing ok.

And I know how you feel, Jack. My Grandfather died of Alzheimer's as well. Horrible way to watch someone go. Only thing good about it he lost all his memories of the Nazi concentration camp he was kept in for so long. Finally had some peace when he died.

  11. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

Goodnight soul lets do this again some time

Well I decided to change it

  12. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

    Um, I think that's a singer?

MawMaw (to the dogs): We've got to go to bed. Tell Cira to go to bed.
Me: Cira's about to take her shower, then go to bed. Cira's talking to Jack.

So yeah, shower + bedtime for me, because I'll be running all over tomorrow. It was nice to talk to you again, Jack, and hopefully I'll catch you again soon. Bye.

  13. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

yeah on another note have you ever heard of R

  14. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

Yeah, we're kind of being dreary. change of subject - is MT being odd to you?

    Oh, nevermind, it's working now.

  15. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

boy this conversation is getting depressing..

I never want my mind to deteriorate I mean for some people memories are all they have..

  16. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

Dementia seems horrible as well. I hate the idea of my mind slipping away from me and not being able to remember. I mean, if you lose your body, you're trapped inside your head, filled with pain (possibly), and unable to do anything. Lose your mind, and things you've cherished yoru entire life suddenly lose their meaning and you're stuck wandering around in a constant start of bemusement, which must get frustrating.

  17. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

My Grandma has dementia and she really hates it
when she was living with us she would always talk about how she cant remember anything
Well towards the end there things were really bad he didn't hardly talk at all he mostly just slept and he didnt recognize me wich was tough to deal with

I wonder whats worse having your body deteriorate or you mind?

  18. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

Alhzeimers is one thing I think might actually scare me. It causes so much pain that really, it's probably almost a relief when the pain finally ends. It seems like it would be really hard to watch someone suffer like that.

  19. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

    It wasn't
but when he did die I think the pain was diminished because he had been in pretty bad shape for a wile
Alzheimer's is definitely something i never want to get

  20. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

Oh, that must have been terrible. I've never thought of Alzheimers as a paticularly nice way to go.

  21. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

    That sounds pretty awful
my grandpa had Alzheimer's pretty bad and his body ended up just shutting down..

  22. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

Not by blood, but yeah, basically. He's my Punky's Dad and Punky's been with my MawMaw for around thirty years, so I think that gives me a good claim on him.

Ah, during the summer. I lost my Great-great aunt this summer, actually. I think it was July.

Oh, dear, that's an interesting question. To skip a long story, he had a pulmonary... something, go to his brain. He was dead for 24 minutes before they brought him back, but he was in a coma and he slipped away a few hours later.

  23. springheeljack Jan 13, 2011

wow t 76 is pretty young he was your great grandpa?
It wasn't that long. ago uh im thinking it was either june..or july?
    what did he die of?

  24. xShatteredSoulx Jan 13, 2011

If I remember correctly, he would be 76 on the 28th of this month. His mom lived to be 99.

The last time I was in a hospital and actually waiting to hear if someone I was close to would live or not, I was six, so this is kind of new to me.

I"m sorry about your grandpa - how long ago was it?

Of course you will, Jack. You happen to change your signature rather often. :)
